What’s Where? How to Research the Past

In honor of Harris Sisters Month at Otis Library in Norwich, NLCHS is sponsoring a lecture on Frances Caulkins by Nancy Steenburg. Nancy will be speaking about Frances Manwaring Caulkins, both about Caulkins’s life and work in Norwich, but more specifically about her involvement in the abolition movement in Norwich, where she was the first president of the Norwich Female Anti-Slavery Society. Walk to end Homelessness

The Shaw Mansion is a scheduled stop on the Homeless Hospitality Center’s Walk to end Homelessness.   The Walk raises awareness about homelessness in southeastern Connecticut and also raises support for the programs of the Homeless Hospitality Center in New London. ​ It is organized by HHC and students from Connecticut College's Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy.
